- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers developing satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits and missions.
- Flow down of subsystem requirements to the FPGAs.
- Perform FPGA verification for high reliability space systems.
- Architect, design and implement complex designs with Microchip FPGAs for space applications.
- Develop IP blocks for AMD SoCs.
Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in an FPGA engineering role in the space or an equivalent high‑reliability sector.
- Good understanding of FPGA technology for space.
- Experience with VHDL and System Verilog.
- Experience with FPGA design tools including Vivado, Model Sim and Libero.
- Understanding of digital communications and DSP.
- Leadership of complex FPGA projects.
- Specialist knowledge in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- High‑reliability design and analysis (space, military, automotive, etc).
- Knowledge of LEO/GEO communications payloads.
- Signal integrity analysis.
