Start date on 28th June 2027, full time, fixed term (13 months) Are you interested in an engineering placement with one of the UK’s largest energy producers? Our Engineering and Outage group has an exciting industrial placement opportunity for a motivated team member with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.

RWE's Gas Engineering and Outage (E&O) Group supports our European RWE portfolio in the UK, Netherlands and Germany. We support and manage all aspects of C&I (Control & Instrumentation) work across outages and projects at the CCGT Power plants.

• Be based at any of the following RWE Generation sites:
  Pembroke, Staythorpe, Didcot or Little Barford.
• Responsible for providing key engineering support to ensure our fleet of power stations can be operated safely, efficiently and with the greatest possible commercial flexibility.
• Undertake data analysis to diagnose problems to help in both long and short-term projects.
• Support development of the asset integrity processes and systems and deliver on plant improvement projects and plant investigations.
• Assist in the delivery of work packages in large station outages.
• Build your expertise through real-world, hands-on experience and practical training, complemented by professional development courses and workshops.
• Gain direct exposure to industry practices while developing technical knowledge and transferable skills that enhance future career opportunities.

• Ideally, you should be pursuing a BEng or MEng Engineering or Science degree at an undergraduate level.
• Your degree should include an industrial placement year to meet the requirements for this role.
• Willingness to travel around the UK and potentially Europe, with overnight stays away from your base location. Expenses will be covered for this.

The Assessment Centre will take place on Tuesday 24th November 2026 face to face at Double Tree by Hilton Swindon, Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way, Swindon, Wilts SN5 8UZ
. Accommodation will be booked on your behalf and travel subsidised by RWE. The evening prior to the Assessment Centre a meal will be held at Double Tree by Hilton which you will be required to attend.
