Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: £45,000
Hours: Day shift Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Composite Manufacturing Technician to support the manufacturing, assembly and integration of advanced fibre-based components.
You will play a key role in ensuring hardware is manufactured, assembled and documented to meet strict quality and process standards required for spaceflight programmes.
Composite Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities- Manufacture fibre-based composite components including carbon fibre, glass fibre and aramid fibre materials
- Perform material layup, resin impregnation and curing processes including VARTM and autoclave methods
- Carry out composite trimming, finishing and post-processing activities
- Manufacture tooling and moulds used in composite production
- Support the assembly and integration of R&D and flight hardware
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs)
- Maintain strong adherence to internal manufacturing and quality processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Assist Project Product Assurance Managers in defining and qualifying MAIT processes
- Support internal and customer technical reviews
- Occasionally visit suppliers or subcontractors where required
- Work flexibly to support programme schedules when required
- Strong background in precision engineering assembly
- Demonstrable experience in composite manufacturing
- Knowledge of composite materials, layup and curing processes
- Experience working from manufacturing assembly procedures
- Ability to carry out composite trimming and finishing
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and materials
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Logical, pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Strong organisation and task management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team
- Mechanical apprenticeship or engineering qualification
