Sewing Machine Operator

Hours: 9-5pm Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machine Operator to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing business based in Harwell, Oxfordshire. This position would suit somebody with previous industrial sewing machine experience who enjoys hands-on production work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. The role focuses primarily on sewing machine operation and fabric assembly within a specialist manufacturing environment.

• Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
• Carry out sewing and assembly of specialist textile products
• Perform overlock stitching and other sewing techniques as required
• Follow manufacturing instructions and work orders accurately
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved
• Support production targets and deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Report any machine faults or quality issues to the production team
• Follow all health and safety procedures

• Previous sewing machine operation experience
• Experience using industrial sewing machines would be advantageous
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to follow work instructions and manufacturing processes
• Reliable and able to work independently when required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
