Working in the Quality and Product Assurance Team

At Open Cosmos, our Quality and Product Assurance (QPA) team plays a key role in driving continuous improvement across all our operations and facilities. As a member of the QPA team, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how we work —bringing industry best practices to life and proactively identifying ways to boost efficiency, reliability, and quality in everything we do.

What

will you be doing?

We're looking for an intern to provide Quality Assurance support during the production of our flight harnesses — the electrical lifelines of our satellites.

We are seeking a passionate Quality and Product Assurance Intern to monitor the processes that are conducted by our AIT teams to manufacture the satellite harnesses that are integrated into our satellites. You will coordinate activities to contain non-conforming products and ensure rapid disposition of defective components to comply with our specification requirements and production demand.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the rest of our internal teams to supervise the quality performance of our assembly lines, and introduce quality improvement initiatives when needed.

What you need to be successful
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Your background in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or software engineering gives you the necessary understanding of what you’re doing and allows you to take on more challenging tasks.
  • You communicate clearly and are comfortable asking questions when unsure.
  • A proactive approach to work with the ability to operate autonomously, self-directed and self-motivate.
  • Able to use a combination of logic, analysis and past experiences to solve problems effectively.
