Topps Tiles is seeking a Sales Assistant for a 10‑hour per week role based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The position is permanent and includes weekend work.

• Salary: £6,961 – £7,875 per month (calculations based on hourly rates and commission)
• Hourly rate: £12.71 for workers aged 21 and above; £10.85 for workers aged 20 and below, plus personal sales commission
• Working hours:
  
  10 hours per week, including some weekend work
• Hours off: 3 days over Christmas; no evening, Boxing Day or Christmas Eve work

• Assist customers in visualising and planning tiling projects.
• Provide product advice and recommendations to retail and trade customers.
• Maintain inventory and display best‑selling tiles.
• Operate the till and process payments accurately.
• Build and maintain relationships with regular trade customers.
• Lift and move heavy boxes of tiles as required.
• Support the store’s sales targets through upselling and cross‑selling.
• Participate in ongoing product training and development.

• Hourly wage plus personal sales commission.
• No evening or late‑night shifts.
• Three days off during the Christmas period.

• Minimum age 18 years for application (21+ for higher hourly rate).
• Recent or previous retail or customer‑service experience preferred.
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
