OverviewThe Stock Associate is part of the stock team and is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining store inventory. The role requires close attention to detail, the ability to conduct moderate to heavy physical labor, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Keep selling floor and merchandise neat, organized, and stocked.
- Assist in cleaning up the store and stockroom during closing shifts.
- Maintain inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
- Assist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies, and all shipping/receiving related paperwork.
- Check items received against shipping invoice to ensure shipment accuracy.
- Replenish stock on the sales floor as needed.
- Pack up defective items or overstock and arrange for return shipment.
- Observe proper safety procedures in the stockroom, especially when lifting and moving heavy items.
- Report issues or problems to stock manager or store manager.
- Participate in inventories.
- Assist managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory.
- Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures.
- Properly execute all relevant register functions.
- Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance.
- Attend store meetings.
- Participate in relevant training and development seminars, programs, and meetings as directed by store management.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Answer customer and sales associate questions about available items in stock.
- Retrieve items from stockroom at customer request.
- Place special orders for customers when necessary.
- Build and maintain repeat clientele; utilize client book.
- Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Experience in retail and luxury environments.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Excellent personal organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical strength necessary to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes.
- Familiar with inventory software.
- Ability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
- Familiarity with proper safety procedures in the stockroom.
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Ability to multitask across different tasks.
