Senior Director of Commercial Insights & Marketplace Analytics

Randstad is hiring a Senior Director of Commercial Insights & Marketplace Analytics to lead our digital transformation from decentralized data silos into a unified, global Digital Marketplace. Reporting to executive leadership, you will build and scale a 20+ FTE global Center of Excellence (CoE) and design the AI-driven MLOps and algorithmic growth engine powering the world’s largest talent platform.

This is a Product Algorithms, Data Science & Commercial Strategy Role — NOT a Digital Marketing Campaign Role. You will focus strictly on core marketplace product algorithms, platform UI/UX experimentation, MLOps, and technical growth infrastructure. Direct marketing campaign performance, channel KPIs, and media spend ROI are owned separately by the Global Head of Marketing Analytics.

• Build the Global Growth Engine:
  Architect and deploy Randstad’s first end-to-end digital marketplace measurement framework, connecting post-acquisition product engagement directly to marketplace liquidity and client retention.
• Deploy AI & MLOps Products:
  Launch at least three production-grade, AI-driven features (e.g., real-time talent-client matching engines, dynamic pricing models, or automated churn reduction).
• Establish a Global CoE:
  Design, launch, and scale an offshore/nearshore Center of Excellence (CoE) growing to 20+ FTEs, evolving team members from basic dashboard builders into advanced data science practitioners.
• Drive Platform Experimentation:
  Establish a rigorous product-level A/B testing and multivariate experimentation culture integrated into our digital platform UI/UX.
• Unify Data Governance:
  Deliver a global data contract establishing clear ownership boundaries between Marketing Operations and Marketplace Analytics.

• Architect Platform Algorithms:
  Own the governance of analytical logic, algorithmic event logging, and marketplace matching definitions.
• Commercial Steering:
  Define "North Star" metrics focusing on platform unit economics, user productivity, algorithmic health, and commercial conversion.
• Lead Cross-Functional Alignment:
  Serve as the primary bridge between the Global Chief Digital & Growth Officer (CDGO), frontline marketplace teams, and product engineering hubs.
• Resource & Budget Arbitration:
  Manage central shared service capacity, prioritizing high-velocity data science and engineering resources.

15+ years of experience with a strong track record of managing department heads and leading complex teams within a matrixed enterprise.

Deep domain expertise in supply-demand balancing, liquidity, and algorithmic matching within a digital marketplace or high-volume e-commerce ecosystem.

Hands-on background in MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), data engineering architectures, predictive modeling, and platform-level A/B testing.

Proven track record of building data science functions from scratch and managing offshore/nearshore CoE operational models.

Master’s degree preferred. Full business fluency in written and spoken English is required.
