You will report to the Director of IT while overseeing the City’s network infrastructure and cybersecurity measures. This includes hands-on monitoring, managing firewalls, routers, and VPNs, as well as leading initiatives for system hardening and incident response. Technical leadership and mentoring of junior IT staff are key components of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers
• Monitor network performance and security alerts
• Plan and document upgrades and security patches
• Support secure connectivity for municipal facilities and remote sites
• Lead incident response and triage alerts effectively
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• 5 to 10 years experience in network and cybersecurity
• Expertise in firewalls, VPNs, and network administration
• Proficient in phishing analysis and vulnerability management
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English
