SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support
Location:
Dinnington
Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEMH TA/Behaviour Support, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted support for students who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour strategies, building strong relationships, and helping students access learning successfully.
Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and engage in lessons.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans consistently.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage confidence and resilience.
• Support classroom teachers in delivering structured and engaging learning activities.
• Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and interventions accurately.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment at all times.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
• Strong understanding of positive behaviour management strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in challenging situations.
• A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
