Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Dinnington

Salary: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

You will work closely with teachers and senior staff to deliver personalised support that meets each pupil's unique requirements. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you may be working across different year groups and settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with various special educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering differentiated learning activities tailored to individual abilities.
  • Support behaviour management and promote positive classroom engagement.
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and senior leadership.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Genuine commitment to supporting pupils' educational and personal development.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
