Overview

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. We positively impact children’s lives on and off the field through our coaching, communication, and curriculum. Our soccer program introduces soccer to children ages 2-10 at preschools, daycare centers, private elementary schools, community centers, and local public programs in East Contra Costa (Discovery Bay, Brentwood, Antioch, Oakley, and Pittsburgh).

We are looking for part-time Saturday soccer coaches to coach anywhere from 3 to 5 sessions on Saturdays. Must commit to a season of 8–12 weeks. Classes on Saturdays run throughout the day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Each class ranges from 35 to 60 minutes with up to 14 children per session. We provide training (paid), equipment, and curriculum for the season(s).

Looking for local candidates only (no work status or visa sponsorship available).

All candidates must complete a full FBI & DOJ clearance through Live Scan.

• Professional & Responsible: Communicate professionally, be timely, courteous, maintain a clean appearance, be self-motivated, and dependable.
• Fun & Creative: Enthusiastic, comfortable being goofy and imaginative with children ages 2–10.
• Patient & Empathetic: Willing to work through behavior and learning curves.
• Soccer Knowledge & Athleticism: Previous soccer experience as a player or instructor preferred, but not required.
• Transportation & Cell Phone: Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a personal mobile phone with data.
• Clear Background Check: Must pass a Live Scan with a clear record.
• Education: High school diploma or GED minimum. BONUS: 12 accredited ECE units in Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Educator, or Soccer Coach experience.

• Coach and manage Soccer Shots sessions on Saturdays at community centers and/or parks. Sessions are 35–60 minutes with up to 14 children per session.
• Enthusiastically deliver the Soccer Shots curriculum focusing on skill and character development, positively impacting kids at each session.
• Provide a pleasant customer experience to daycare center staff, directors, and parents.
• Arrive on time (10–15 minutes before the session) at your locations/sessions.
• Maintain equipment and manage class rosters.
• Complete training and evaluation: participate in new coach training (online and on-field), receive coaching evaluations and feedback.
• Attend meetings either in-person or online.
• Commit to an 8–12 week season.

• Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
• Training period: $20 per 35–60 minute session.
• Post-training: $20+ per 35–60 minute session.
• Monday–Saturday positions are also available.

We are looking for Saturday coaches to cover the Discovery Bay, Brentwood, Antioch, Oakley, and Pittsburgh areas.
