Dispenser

We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Dispenser to join a friendly GP Surgery in Diss for a 3-month Temporary block booking across June, July, and August.

Location:

Diss IP22
Duration:
June – August (3 month booking)

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm

Dispenser qualification - NVQ level 2 Dispensing
Excellent rates of pay
Potential for extension beyond the initial booking

· Issuing prescriptions as required from discharge letters and tasks from doctors,

· Issuing repeat prescriptions as required from tasks from doctors and online, requests from patients,

· Sorting and counting prescriptions.

· Dispensing medication as required and checking dispensed bags against signed prescriptions,

· Production of dossett boxes and checking they are correct and complete prior to collection/delivery,

· To order, record, dispense and dispose of controlled drugs as required by the relevant standard operating procedure,

· Improving profitability by accurate ordering of stock to ensure best value and to minimise the risk of out of date stock,

· Unpacking deliveries, checking invoices, checking for out of date stock and stacking shelves,

· Ensuring a high level of hygiene throughout the dispensary and that equipment is kept clean and in good working order.

To support the delivery of an accurate and efficient service to patients, including:

· Promoting excellence in customer service and offering appropriate information and advice to patients and their carers.

· To take payment when required.

· Receiving and making telephone calls as required - divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery,
