Logistics and Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Operative for our client based in Diss. This is a full‑time permanent role with working hours of 07:30 – 15:30, Monday – Friday. The pay rate offered is initially £13.25 per hour with the possibility of earning a quarterly productivity bonus (on successful completion of the probationary period). We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic person ideally, with previous experience within a similar manufacturing stores environment.

We are seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Operative to primarily take responsibility for transport planning for delivery of products to site, and also assist with daily management of the warehouse. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

• Plan and book transport with approved couriers ensuring maximum profitability and payload utilisation
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co‑workers
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Oversee customers clearance documentation
• Evaluate transport performance metrics
• Stock control and inventory checks
• General Warehouse duties as required
• Unload deliveries from vehicles and inspect for damage or shortages

• Proven working experience in a similar busy role where transport planning is part of the role
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
• FLT Licence
• Good computer and numerical skills
• Good geographical knowledge would be very helpful
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
