Introduction
We at the Potomac Center/SETT facility provide quality person-centered supports to adults with intellectual disabilities at our campus in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our aim is to partner with the community to help our residents achieve their goals. The Potomac Center is a 62-bed licensed Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). This program focuses on using therapeutic interventions to empower residents as they learn the skills they need to successfully return to community living.
The Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) Program, located within the Potomac Center campus, is a 32-bed licensed Forensic Residential Center that provides services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and court involvement within a safe and secure environment. The program provides assistance as they resolve their court involvement and work toward transitioning to a less secured environment. The SETT utilizes active treatment as well as providing evaluation, assessment and competency attainment education.

Main Purpose of JobThis full-time contractual position provides Clinical Nutrition Care Services to clients, in accordance with their assessed needs in support of the health care services provided by the facility and provides assistance to the Director of Dietary Services to maintain the Child Nutrition Education Programs for clients, staff and facility community, in compliance with Child Nutrition Program requirements. This position assists in the development of menus and assists in data management and development for the Dietary Department.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Determined by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice under the licensing requirements for Nutritionists and Dietitians. - Experience:
One year of experience providing professional nutrition or dietetic services. - Note:
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Dietitian and Nutritionist classifications or Dietitian and Nutritionist specialty codes in the Dietitian field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating patients health status and identifying nutritional needs.
- Experience working with intellectually and mentally disabled populations.

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled.
