General PurposeThe Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific area of the Store, general operations, and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly shopping environment, executing company operational processes, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area.
Essential Functions- Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
- Understand safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor and correct unsafe conditions.
- Secure building access, EAS devices, cash office, and register area.
- Ensure emergency exits are clear and conduct fire alarm tests.
- Customer Service
- Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
- Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
- Personal and Store Brand
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and enforce the Dress Code.
- Keep all areas clean, well‑maintained, and merchandised to standard.
- General Merchandising
- Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed to Company standards.
- Process all merchandise with a sense of urgency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Stockrooms.
- Loss Prevention
- Maintain a large customer service presence on the sales floor.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
- Conduct “Code 50” package inspections and execute best practices.
- Front End Supervision and Operations
- Maximize productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches.
- Maintain pace, energy, and presence at the Front End.
- Train and coach associates on cash registers and shortage control policies.
- Fitting Rooms
- Maintain and clean the fitting rooms.
- Audit fitting room garment tags and ensure go‑back compliance.
- Administrative Duties
- Ensure cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy.
- Perform payroll administration and associate scheduling compliance.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Work evenings and weekends.
Stand, walk, and move around the Store 100% of the time; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs; use janitorial equipment and supplies as required. Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 20 lbs.

SalaryBase pay range: $16.50 – $17.00 per hour, dependent on experience, skills, and location.
