Teen Center Needs Recreation Coordinator

The Dixon Teen Center Board of Directors is recruiting a part‑time recreation coordinator to operate and supervise recreational and social activities for the Dixon teen community of 7th‑ to 12th‑graders. The program is a free drop‑in program that provides personal, social and recreational programs for teens in a safe and welcoming environment. The program operates from 4 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

• Supervise and lead activities in sports, crafts, music, table games, computer room, homework space, and special events.
• Provide a positive environment for teens to develop and create new friendships.
• Coordinate volunteers and work with the Youth Center Council.
• Open and secure the Teen Center Facility, manage supplies and equipment.
• Lead and communicate center rules, regulations and safety procedures.
• Provide written and verbal feedback to the Board of Directors.
• Comply with city and school district rules and regulations in the use of such facilities.

• Any combination of education, experience and community service that provides the required knowledge in working with youth.
