DOC Dixon CC Operations Unit Secretary

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to serve as secretary in the Operations Unit. In addition, this position will keyboard a variety of complex documents, compile and assemble data for statistical reports, and maintain complex filing systems for security staff. • Serves as secretary to the Shift Supervisor.
• Keyboards complex charts, documents, forms, memoranda, and letters.
• Organizes and maintains complex filing systems for correspondence and security personnel.
• Serves as clerical support to the Administrative Major / Unit Manager.
• As a receptionist answers the phone.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
• Requires ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute.

• Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
• Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
• Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
