Together we inspire wellness. Through hope & healing, Sinnissippi Centers strives to empower all to live their best lives.

Joseph had a drinking problem. He knew it. His family knew it. His friends knew it (and supported it). His drinking problem led to a DUI. He lost his job. His wife left and took their kids. He got some treatment but wasn't really committed and ended up reverting to his old habits. He found a part-time job at a local convenience store which allowed him access to food and cigarettes which he shoplifted for about 2 months until he was arrested.

He was convicted to a year in prison. When he was released, one of the conditions of his probation was that he receive drug and alcohol treatment at Sinnissippi Centers.

It was at Sinnissippi that Joseph met Ken. Ken was a Substance Abuse Counselor who told it straight but had a real interest in helping Joseph in his recovery from his alcohol addiction. They developed a very good relationship and this allowed Joseph to finally start facing the trauma in his childhood that had caused him to abuse alcohol. Joseph finally has some hope for a positive future and is working on rebuilding a relationship with his kids.

Could you see yourself in Ken's shoes? Are you willing to make a difference?
