Registered Nurse – OB/GYN

Dixon, IL | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7p–7a)

• Provide nursing care for Antepartum, Labor & Delivery (including high-risk), Post-Partum, and Level 2 Nursery patients
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity; expected ratios are 1:1 for labor and 1:3 for post-partum
• Care for gynecological surgical patients as needed
• Practice Baby-Friendly unit standards and protocols
• Document using EPIC – Community Works electronic health records system
• Float to other departments (e.g., med-surg, emergency) on a rotational basis with permanent staff during surge periods

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• EFM Competency required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in L&D, Post-Partum, and Level 2 Nursery
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

• 2 or more years of OB/GYN nursing experience, including high-risk L&D
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and 24/7 pharmacy workflows
• Experience with Baby-Friendly hospital practices
• Demonstrated dependability, positive attitude, and self-motivation in a travel or fast-paced clinical setting

• Scrubs are provided, and a structured on-unit orientation of approximately 3 days is included to support a smooth transition onto the unit
• Located in a charming riverfront community with walking paths, boutique shopping, and dining — an appealing destination for travel clinicians
