Length of EmploymentThe term of employment for all student work study jobs is the beginning of the academic year to the end of the academic year at the end of the Spring semester. Both supervisors and student workers can end their employment at any time throughout this time frame. All individuals eligible for student work study must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours of enrollment throughout their employment and remain in good academic standing as outlined by school policies and federal financial aid guidelines.

Job SummaryThe Ag. Lab Assistant executes activities as directed by the instructor/supervisor in support of efforts to assist students within the Agriculture program at Dodge City Community College.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
- Organize supplies and materials daily.
- Keep track of animal husbandry.
- Keep track of plaint maintenance.
- Assist with ag labs and program functions.
- Assist with grounds and animal shelter.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be enrolled in and maintain six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College.
- Must remain in good academic standing.
- Available in the evenings and on weekends.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- General knowledge of athletics.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel, stand, walk and be on your feet for 3 hours a day to demonstrate sport.
- Ability to carry equipment needed to and from practice and games.
- Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout the campus complex.
