The term of employment for all student work study jobs is the beginning of the academic year to the end of the academic year at the end of the Spring semester. Both supervisors and student workers can end their employment at any time throughout this time frame. All individuals eligible for student work study must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours of enrollment throughout their employment and remain in good academic standing as outlined by school policies and federal financial aid guidelines.

Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Student Activities Coordinator, the Student Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the department oversee and prepare facilities, supplies, and provide excellent customer service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- To understand and commit to the Mission of the College – Dodge City Community College provides a student‑centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
- Assisting with event set up/take down
- Assist with attendance tracking
- Assist with publicity efforts through social media and other advertisements as requested.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be enrolled in and maintain six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College.
- Must remain in good academic standing.
- Available for flexible scheduling – afternoons, weekends, and evenings.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Self‑motivated.
- Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry equipment and supplies.
- Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout the campus.
