ICU RN – Travel | Dodge City, KS (Days)

Facility: Acute care hospital, 10-bed ICU (unit re-opening)
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week guaranteed
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 12/7

About the Assignment:

• Re-opening ICU looking for seasoned ICU RNs
• Ratio 1:2; charge nurse takes an assignment; no nurse aides on the unit
• Titrating drips: vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, insulin, and more
• Common diagnoses: chest pain, abdominal pain, dyspnea, fever, injury, and more
• Hospitalist/intensivist in house; RT on unit 24/7 (vents, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow)
• GE monitors with a 24/7 tele tech
• Epic charting
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holidays required; call/standby set by the manager
• First to float: ICU, PCU/Step-down, and Med-Surg Tele, within the region if needed. May be used as a CNA if needed.
• Navy blue scrubs

Requirements:

• Seasoned ICU RN experience
• ADN or BSN (BSN not required)
• Active RN license at submission
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Must live 60+ miles from the facility (driver’s license required at submission)
• Must be in state for orientation week, even if first-day modules are remote
