Utility Locator – USIC

Compensation$19.00 hourly
Responsibilities- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately mark the location, complete the necessary documentation, and photograph each locate.
- Work full‑time, daytime hours with a 48‑hour turnaround for many locates; be available for overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts including nights as needed.

- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions; prior outdoor experience is a plus.
- Computer proficiency.
- Available for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Capable of working in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish between colors used for wiring and mark underground utilities.
- Read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
- Effective communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
