Senior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our insurance brokerage. This role focuses on reconciliations, premium collections, financial reporting, and supporting management with accurate financial data. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment.

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger entries.
• Perform client, insurer, and bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Oversee premium collections, follow-ups, and receivable tracking.
• Manage accounts payable, invoicing, and payments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring.
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

• Strong experience in reconciliations and collections
  .
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA qualification preferred
  .
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
• Experience in the Qatar or GCC market is a plus.
