This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant, located in Doha, Qatar. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additional tasks include assisting in budgeting, processing transactions, handling invoices, and providing support during audits. Attention to detail and strong numerical skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities- Record journal entries in the accounting system, as assigned by the senior accountant.
- Experience in handling petty cash, preparing vouchers, and accounts payable. Booking all retail petty cash & credit card expenses and reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate with the Head Cashier on daily cash transactions from the Showroom and check for any discrepancies upon reconciliation, including e-commerce.
- Maintain proper filing of approved journal entries and supporting documents in an organised manner.
- Assist in reconciliation of accounts, investigate and correct discrepancies.
- Responsible for other related issues as assigned by direct supervisors.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience.
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems and accounting packages.
- Arabic language proficiency is an added advantage.
- Experience in Odoo ERP will be considered an added advantage.
