Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Overview

The Accountantis responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS ) andlocal labour regulations .This role supports the finance department in budgeting, reporting, and overallfinancial management to enable informed decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Professional certification (CA-Inter., etc.) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, of which at least 2 years in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and expert in MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in handling financial data.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and financial records.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting.
• Stay updated on local labour laws and accounting regulations relevant to financial operations in Qatar.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, culturally aware.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team.
• High ethical standards and discretion with confidential information.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new accounting tools, local regulations, and procedures.
