We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s daily financial operations and contribute to cost control and business performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, supporting procurement, and providing management with reliable financial reports for decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain all daily financial transactions accurately using Sage Accounting.
- Reconcile daily sales, cash collections, POS transactions, and bank deposits.
- Prepare and process daily bank deposits and monitor company bank accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Compare supplier quotations, negotiate the best prices, and support procurement decisions.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries and payments.
- Monitor inventory costing and purchasing expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
- Analyze food cost, beverage cost, and operational expenses, recommending opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports including:
- Expense Analysis
- Cost Control Reports
- Cash Flow Reports
- Budget vs. Actual Performance
- Prepare monthly Trial Balance and assist in preparing financial statements.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Qatar financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors, external accountants, and government authorities when required.
- Support management with financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Perform any additional finance or administration duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (hospitality or F&B experience & contracting is an advantage).
- Strong professional experience using Sage Accounting is mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial reporting).
- Experience in supplier management, procurement comparison, and cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and cost accounting.
- Ability to prepare weekly and monthly management reports independently.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
- Strong customer service, hospitality, and guest relations skills, with an ability to create a welcoming and professional environment.
- Experience in café, restaurant, or F&B service operations, including order taking, serving, and basic food and beverage handling.
- Good communication skills in English; additional language abilities, such as Arabic, are an advantage.
- Attention to detail in presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a positive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in premium or boutique hospitality settings is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or F&B certifications are a plus.
