Chief Accountant

Location:

Doha, DAW, QA.

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including the general ledger and month-end/year-end closing.
• Supervise the accounts payable function to ensure the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Manage the accounts receivable function, including customer invoicing, receipts, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and process payroll through the Qatar WPS system, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and periodic verification.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and liquidity.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial reports for management.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, tax requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
• Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team while driving continuous process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft Hands-on experience with Qatar WPS payroll processing, fixed asset management, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and audit coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Qatar financial regulations and taxation requirements is preferred.
