Linum Consult's client is a major international company. They are urgently seeking a Financial Accountant to be based in their office in Doha, Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Conducting the accounts payable cycle and accounts receivable cycle
- Carrying out monthly invoice billing to customers and following-up on collections
- Executing month-end closure tasks: bank uploads, GL entries (accruals, prepayments, provisions), reconciling intercompany balances, etc.
- Reporting the consolidated financial statements to the company's head office, on a monthly basis
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations
- Conducting quarterly external reporting on financial information to one of the company's investments in Qatar
- Finalising annual reports and assisting with the audit
- Updating the automated billing system on a monthly basis
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, ideally with a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA
- At least 8 years' experience in accounting, with 2-3 years in a similar role
- Solid understanding of Qatari accounting rules and regulations
- Fluent in spoken and written English
