Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for managing tax compliance activities, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations, and maintaining accurate tax records. The Senior Tax Accountant will analyze financial statements, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing tax schedules, reconciling tax accounts, coordinating with external auditors and authorities, and advising internal stakeholders on tax-related matters. The role also involves identifying process improvements, monitoring changes in tax legislation, and supporting the development of best practices in the accounting and tax function.

• ACCA/ CMA Qualified
• Strong tax expertise, including Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation skills.
• Proficiency in Accounting and preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience in corporate or public accounting with a focus on tax, ideally in the region.
• Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
