Job Purpose
To handle purchasing activities, source suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services required for company operations.
Key Responsibilities- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Maintain and update vendor lists and price records.
- Coordinate with departments (maintenance, production, logistics, etc.) to understand material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval workflows.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the storekeeper to avoid shortages.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or documentation.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and monthly purchasing summaries.
- Ensure all relevant documents (LPO, quotations, delivery notes, invoices) are properly filed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in construction, ready‑mix, manufacturing, or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local and international suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Must be available in Qatar with a valid QID.
