Primary Purpose of the Job
Responsible for establishment and administration of long‑term strategic purchasing of goods and related services from conceptualization to close‑out. Conduct spend analysis and carry out to control life cycle of Agreements as sponsoring department through planning to optimize cost, availability of goods and associated services on time in compliance with ethical standards, confidentiality and Qatar Energy Regulations, Policies, Procedures, QHSE and sustainability requirements.
Responsible for implementing Category Risk Profiles and market trend analysis to achieve cost effective material acquisitions. Collaborate with Qatar Energy Affiliates and Joint Ventures to optimize supply chain environment.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in strategic procurement and long‑term agreements, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment.
- High level of fluency in the English language is required.
- Knowledgeable of international standards and manufacturers for Oilfield equipment and materials. Knowledge of functionalities related to establishing and administration of Long‑Term Supply Agreements.
- Understanding of contractual concepts and agreement strategies, related project management techniques and financial implication.
- Well versed in Tendering, Problem solving and commercial evaluation. Knowledge of latest Quality Management Systems.
- Motivation skills with the ability to proactively obtain resolution to significant problems with good interpersonal, presentation, analytical and conflict management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP applications and operations is required.
- University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management.
- Membership of international supply chain institution is desirable.
