Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven professional to lead our E‑commerce and PSP acquiring portfolio. The role will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end relationships with E‑commerce merchants and Payment Service Providers (PSPs), driving growth in online acquiring volumes, and ensuring seamless onboarding, integration, and ongoing performance management.

The employee will serve as the primary contact point for merchants, aggregators, and PSP partners—overseeing commercial negotiations, technical enablement, and operational excellence to strengthen our market position as a leading acquirer in Qatar.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in managing and growing an E‑commerce acquiring portfolio, including merchant onboarding, pricing, and PSP integrations.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, E‑commerce, or Payment Service Provider management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong exposure to digital acquiring, online payment gateways, and PSP integrations.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI, etc.), regulatory requirements, and payment security standards (PCI DSS, 3DS, tokenization).
  • Proven track record in achieving business growth targets and managing large‑scale merchant relationships.
Key Accountabilities – Strategic Acquiring & Business Growth
  • Drive acquisition and onboarding of high‑potential E‑commerce merchants and PSPs, ensuring alignment with the Bank's acquiring strategy.
  • Identify new verticals, payment trends, and digital opportunities to increase transaction volumes and enhance revenue.
  • Develop and execute targeted campaigns to position CB as the preferred acquirer for online payments.
  • Act as the relationship owner for E‑commerce merchants and PSP partners, ensuring strong collaboration and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, service fees, and settlement arrangements in line with profitability and compliance requirements.
  • Provide continuous advisory support on payment acceptance, fraud management, and new payment technologies.
Integration & Technical Enablement
  • Oversee the integration journey of merchants and PSPs, from onboarding to go‑live, ensuring timely completion with minimal friction.
  • Collaborate with internal IT, operations, and scheme partners (Visa/Mastercard) to support API/host‑to‑host integrations, tokenization, and innovative payment solutions.
  • Monitor PSP compliance with QCB and scheme mandates, ensuring operational robustness.
Operational Excellence & Performance Monitoring
  • Define SLAs and KPIs for PSPs and merchants; regularly track and review performance.
  • Resolve escalations related to settlements, disputes, and chargebacks in collaboration with Risk & Operations.
  • Maintain structured documentation on onboarding, integration, and performance milestones for internal governance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development Leader.
  • Drive volume growth by identifying strategic merchant segments (airlines, travel, education, utilities, retail, etc.) and securing long‑term partnerships.
  • Expand partnerships with global and regional PSPs to strengthen CB's acquiring ecosystem.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of PSPs and merchants with minimal delays, proactively resolving technical or operational bottlenecks.
