Business Development Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Business Development Officer to join our team in Doha. This role will contribute directly to expanding our partnership base, generating new sales opportunities, and supporting the company's overall growth strategies within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Generation:
    Identify and build a pipeline of potential new clients and partners (e.g., hotels, corporations, or secondary distribution chains) to drive Business-to-Business (B2B) sales.
  • Sales Support:
    Assist in preparing and delivering presentations and proposals to new clients and follow up to ensure deal closure.
  • Market Research:
    Conduct preliminary market and competitor research to identify new trends and opportunities for expansion.
  • Relationship Management:
    Serve as the initial point of contact for new partners and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
  • Internal Coordination:
    Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Operations teams to ensure the smooth execution of business development strategies.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare periodic reports on development activities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and the status of the sales pipeline.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role (Business Development or B2B Sales), preferably within the Retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sectors.
Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Regional Knowledge:
    Familiarity with the Qatar market is desirable.
