Project Context and ScopeQatar’s Private Sector constitutes a central pillar of the national economy, contributing significantly to economic diversification, innovation, employment and social development.
For the International Organization for Migration (IOM), private sector engagement is increasingly strategic, particularly in advancing sustainable development outcomes, ethical labour practices, and responsible business conduct.
However, there is currently no single, comprehensive and structured reference that provides a holistic understanding of the private sector landscape in Qatar. Existing information is fragmented, sector-specific, and limited in analytical depth, making it difficult to support evidence-based engagement and decision-making for government entities, UN agencies, and development actors seeking to engage effectively with the private sector.
This consultancy will address this gap by developing comprehensive private sector mapping and analysis, serving both as:
- A public-facing national reference document, and
- An internal strategic resource for IOM to inform engagement and partnership development.
The consultant will work under Programmes in IOM Qatar Country Office.
