Construction Supervisor; Piping

Responsibilities

• Supervise all EPIC contractors piping Process and Utility piping system installation activities across above ground and underground services based on approved engineering documentation and project schedules.
• Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) as per approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and coordinate with the Reconstruction Supervisor for material receiving inspections and sign‑off of inspection and test reports.
• Ensure quality of manufacturing and erection works, dimensional accuracy, orientation, and correct installation of accessories and inline items according to material design specifications.
• Lead EPIC construction contractors on all mechanical aspects of the piping works.
• Supervise EPIC contractors during piping installation, line checks, punch clearing, hydrotesting, and re‑in statement at site.
• Manage and lead final mechanical completion inspections and punch closure.
• Supervise Pre‑Construction (Pre‑Com) activities to ensure safety and quality of the completed work.
• Undertake technical integrity and HSE reviews, audits, and participate in process safety management.
• Participate in Process Safety System Reviews (PSSR) and provide support to Operations during pre‑startup activities as instructed.
• Coordinate mobilization of contractors on site.
• Carry out daily checks on contractor staff and work from the previous day to ensure compliance with contractual specifications.
• Maintain a daily record of progress and a daily diary noting special comments.
• Report to the Senior Supervisor on work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Sign work permits on behalf of the Company to ensure contractor compliance with work permit requirements.
• Participate in the development of as‑built drawings and documentation.
• Accountable for supervising contractor work in progress, inspecting, reporting problems and preventing accidents through enforcement of Company safety standards on the work site.
• Liaise and report with the QA/QC Inspector on quality‑related matters.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
• Formal training in QA/QC functional aspects is preferred.
• Candidate shall be a safety leader.
• Minimum of 10 years overall experience in piping erection (UG & AG), pressure testing, mechanical completion, and construction of oil and gas facilities.
• Experience as an EPIC Contractor supervisor is essential.
• Experience as a Client or PMC supervisor is preferred.
• Current experience in the State of Qatar industrial cities and/or other GCC countries is required.
• Specific experience in Greenfield/new build construction sites.
• Specific experience in Brownfield/live process plants.
• Experience with permits to work, including Isolation & Lock Out/Tag Out of live services.
• Experience in tie‑in to live facilities, including testing and integration to existing systems.
• Extensive knowledge in lifting plan and crane studies; having an Approved Lifting Supervisor Certificate is an advantage.
• Stage inspection and testing of construction activities as per approved ITPs.
