Senior Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

• Opening and briefing of Packages (RFQs)
• Quantity take-off from drawings.
• Detection, flagging and closure of possible Vos & Claims.
• Actual site survey and comparison to drawings
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for marble supply, installation, and finishing.

• Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities (BOQ) for marble works.
• Evaluate supplier and contractor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
• Draft and manage contracts with marble suppliers, fabricators, and installers.

• Accurately measure marble quantities required for flooring, cladding, countertops, etc.
• Track actual usage versus planned quantities to avoid wastage.
• Conduct valuations for interim payments and final accounts:
• IPCs to clients.
• IPCs of sub-contractors.

• Monitor project costs to prevent overruns.
• Identify risks such as material damage, delays in supply, or design changes, and propose mitigation strategies.

• Provide regular financial and progress reports to stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between architects, contractors, and clients regarding marble-related costs.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and excel software (mandatory) & BIM (preferable).
• Strong numerical & analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Cost estimation & forecasting for budgets and financial planning
• Clear communication with clients, contractors, and suppliers with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to present financial data and reports effectively
