Responsibilities
- Perform quantity verification at site to ensure compliance with project payment procedures and the PWA Projects Payment Procedures Manual.
- Validate certified value of works and materials on off‑site against contract provisions and the manual.
- Ensure that quantities or materials certified by the Engineer, PMC, or Consultant do not exceed executed works on site.
- Check quantities executed and materials delivered in final accounts against As‑Builts drawings, if required per contract provisions.
- Conduct technical auditing and recommend necessary corrective actions for inconsistencies, errors and non‑compliance.
- Prepare and review reports provided by team members related to quantity verification tasks.
- Perform follow‑up quantity verification at site to verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Prepare follow‑up quantity verification reports.
- Check and process day‑to‑day all types of payments for PWA Projects.
- Provide advice on issues raised by the PWA Departments regarding payment clauses in contract documents.
- Assist in contract closeout procedures and check final accounts.
- Hold a BSc degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university.
- Have MRICS professional qualification.
- Have a minimum of 15 years demonstrable postgraduate experience in all facets of the Quantity Surveying profession, applicable to the capacity of a professional Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy practice or employer’s organisation.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of site‑based experience in infrastructure (highway/road) projects (preferably in Qatar/GCC).
- Possess extensive knowledge and experience in procurement methods for consultancy and construction contracts and in international contracting conditions and laws.
- Extensive knowledge of the Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement (CESMM).
- Preferably have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Gulf region.
