We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling activities across major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the project planning team and provide strategic direction on planning and scheduling activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor project planning strategies and best practices.
- Prepare and manage detailed schedules covering design, procurement, construction, and completion.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate forecasts through detailed schedule analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on planning and scheduling matters.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor schedules, identifying schedule slippages and recommending corrective actions.
- Analyse alternative schedules and recovery plans to address project changes, market fluctuations, and unforeseen events.
- Manage project baseline and contractual schedules and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
- Support cost control, EOT claims, delay analysis, and project performance monitoring.
- Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Support HSE initiatives and contribute to safety awareness and incident reporting in line with company policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory/leadership planning position.
- GCC experience is an advantage, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and construction planning and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of EPC, engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and project execution processes.
- Experience in cost control, EOT claims, and delay analysis.
- Knowledge of construction law and change management.
- Familiarity with local and international construction standards.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is an advantage.
- MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or PMP certification is preferred.
