Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Job Summary The Contracts Engineer shall be responsible for pre post-contract commercial and contractual administration of data centre and MEP projects. The role focuses on contract compliance change management cost control payment certification claims administration risk management and final account settlement to protect the project s commercial interests and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Contract AdministrationAdminister main contracts and subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor compliance with contractual obligations notices and correspondence requirements. Maintain contractual records and documentation. Provide contractual advice to project teams and management.
VariationsChange Management
• Review evaluate and prepare variation orders arising from design changes client instructions and site conditions. Assess commercial implications of changes and negotiate agreement with clients consultants and subcontractors. Maintain variation registers and track approvals and recovery status.
Commercial Management
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets. Prepare cost reports forecasts and commercial risk assessments. Support commercial decision-making through cost analysis and procurement reviews. Identify opportunities to maximize project profitability.
Review and prepare Extension of Time EOT submissions and associated cost claims. Evaluate subcontractor claims and contractual entitlements. Prepare supporting documentation for contractual claims and dispute resolution. Assist management in resolving commercial disputes and contractual issues.
Payment Certification & Final AccountsReview subcontractor monthly applications for payment. Prepare interim valuations and payment recommendations. Monitor payment status and contractual cash flow. Negotiate and close final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Risk ManagementIdentify commercial and contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures. Ensure contractual notices are issued within required time frames. Support project management in maintaining contractual compliance and reducing exposure to claims and disputes.
Qualifications & EducationBachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. 10+ years of post-contract administration experience in construction projects. Proven experience in MEP, ELV, mission-critical facilities, or data centre projects. Experience administering subcontract and main contract agreements under FIDIC or equivalent contract forms.
Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge of contract administration and commercial management. Experience in variation management, claims preparation, EOT assessment, and final account settlement. Good understanding of MEP systems and data centre construction activities. Proficiency in cost reporting and commercial documentation.
