Construction Manager – Roads and Drainage
Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed the program management consultant for the construction of more than 200 local roads and drainage projects in Qatar. The project is part of a strategy to develop roads, drainage and infrastructure networks throughout the country. Parsons Brinckerhoff will manage and coordinate all interfaces with the client and stakeholders and will oversee the general engineering consultants for each of the five geographic zones comprising Qatar.
The local roads and drainage project is scheduled to take between five to seven years and we have just completed our first anniversary on the project.
Due to this we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to ensure quality control and contract compliance for the project and that it stays within a timely and cost effective manner.
- 1. Substantial Construction management experience within major roads and infrastructure projects as well as sewerage and drainage experience.
- 2. Experience of supervising a number of projects at one time
- 3. Ability to manage the workers and issue clear instructions
- 4. Strong communication skills
- 5. Previous experience of working on major infrastructure projects
- 6. Degree in Construction Management or similar relevant qualification, chartered engineer is also preferred
- 7. Middle East experience preferred.
