As the Manager of Digital Newsroom, at Al Jazeera Digital Division, you will be a visionary strategic leader responsible for overseeing and advancing the operations of Al Jazeera's award‑winning digital newsroom across all English‑language social media platforms and digital channels.

As the Manager of Digital News room you will;

• Lead and oversee Al Jazeera English’s digital content operations across You Tube, Instagram, X, Tik Tok, Facebook, Threads, Whats App, Telegram, local and emerging platforms — ensuring unified brand voice and editorial consistency.
• Develop and execute data-driven, platform-specific strategies that balance speed, accuracy, and cultural relevance across global English-speaking markets.
• Direct breaking-news coordination with correspondents worldwide, ensuring timely, verified coverage on all platforms.
• Design and optimize newsroom workflows for efficiency, timing, and engagement during major global events.
• Lead live and special coverage that showcases Al Jazeera’s strengths in conflict reporting, analysis, and storytelling for digital and mobile audiences.
• Oversee a multi-disciplinary team of digital journalists, producers, editors, creators, and engagement specialists across regions.
• Build a culture of innovation — experimenting with new storytelling formats, AI-powered content, and immersive experiences while upholding editorial integrity.
• Drive continuous professional development, mentoring teams on emerging technologies and cross-platform storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with broadcast, design, audio, and multimedia units to produce cohesive, high-impact journalism.
• Utilize advanced analytics and predictive insights to inform editorial direction, audience growth, and performance strategy.
• Establish and monitor performance frameworks that reward creativity, collaboration, and measurable results.

• Demonstrated experience managing large, distributed teams in fast‑paced newsroom environments focused on real‑time content production and quality assurance.
• Extensive experience with social media optimization, audience analytics, and digital monetization tailored to English‑speaking markets.
• Deep knowledge of the media landscape, cultural nuances, and audience preferences.
• Expertise in digital news strategy, crisis communication, breaking news workflow, and maintaining editorial standards under pressure in politically sensitive contexts.
• In‑depth understanding of social media algorithms, audience engagement strategies, and content optimization techniques for digital audiences.
