Overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Business Development Merchant Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our growth by onboarding and managing clients for our innovative financial services. You will engage with prospective clients through various channels, conduct informative training sessions, and deliver exceptional product demonstrations. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of customer service and support.

This position requires you to address customer inquiries and complaints efficiently while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. You will also manage compliance, maintain accurate records, and contribute to operational excellence by meeting key performance indicators. The ideal candidate is a passionate fintech enthusiast with excellent communication skills and a commitment to upholding our brand values.

Responsibilities
  • Onboard and manage clients for our financial services.
  • Engage with prospective clients through various channels, provide product demonstrations, and conduct training sessions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality customer service and support.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints efficiently; identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Manage compliance and maintain accurate records; contribute to operational excellence by meeting KPIs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service, specifically within fintech, digital wallets, or banking.
  • Experience in lead generation, cold calling, and scheduling client appointments.
  • Proven ability to conduct client onboarding, training sessions, and product demonstrations.
  • Essential bilingual communication skills for effective client engagement and support.
  • Experience in handling and resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Familiarity with compliance procedures and privacy regulations in the financial sector.
Desirables
  • Multilingual capabilities beyond being bilingual.
  • A strong, demonstrable passion for financial technology and innovation.
  • Experience with CRM software for tracking customer interactions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
