Ticketing Officer - Doha, Qatar

Position Overview:

This role in Doha, Qatar with Qatar Airways supports reservations and ticketing operations by supervising ticketing staff, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and driving revenue performance across Doha Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support ticketing staff to deliver efficient reservations and ticketing services
  • Handle customer requests including fare quotations while minimizing complaints
  • Advise and support travel agents with seat confirmations, VIP bookings, and ticketing queries
  • Resolve complex reservations and ticketing issues for staff and customers
  • Keep the team updated on industry changes and Qatar Airways products and services
  • Investigate complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage cases involving mishandled passengers, absent records, and denied boarding
  • Monitor booking patterns and analyze performance to optimize revenue
  • Assess staff performance regularly and provide feedback and coaching
  • Deliver on‑job training for new joiners to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to management policies, sales mix targets, and revenue objectives
  • Perform additional duties as directed by department leadership
Ideal Profile
  • High school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Recognized IATA or Airline Advanced Passenger Tariff and Pricing certification
  • Strong knowledge of special rates, promotions, and fare structures
  • Experience with airline reservation and ticketing systems such as Amadeus
  • Proven ability to manage sales with a focus on revenue optimization
  • Solid understanding of world geography
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
