Project Architect

Seeking a skilled Project Architect with strong experience in statutory authority submissions and approvals, specifically with MMUP (Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning) in Qatar.

• Lead the conceptual stages for architectural projects.
• Coordinate architectural designs with chosen consultants; architects, structural, MEP, , landscape, and other consultants.
• Develop architectural drawings, presentations, and documentation using both AutoCAD and Photoshop.
• Liaise with consultants to ensure all drawings meet Qatar building codes, regulations, and best practices.

• Prepare, review, and submit all required documents, drawings, and applications to MMUP and other relevant authorities in Qatar.
• Manage the complete permitting and approval process, ensuring timely responses and revisions.
• Maintain updated knowledge of Qatar’s planning and building regulations and advise the team on compliance.
• Liaise with authority representatives to resolve technical comments and obtain final approvals.

• Manage project schedules related to design deliverables and permitting timelines.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Monitor project progress and report risks, delays, or required design changes.
• Ensure quality control of all design outputs.

• Collaborate with site teams during construction to clarify design intent.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with approved design.
• Conduct site inspections as required.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
• MMUP certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of architectural experience, with at least 3+ years in Qatar.
• Proven experience managing authority submissions and approvals in Qatar.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Sketch Up, and MS Office.
