Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Design System Specialist to establish, scale, and govern enterprise design systems across both design and development environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistency, accessibility, and efficiency throughout the design-to-development lifecycle while enabling teams to deliver high-quality digital products at scale.
This role requires a blend of design systems expertise, component governance, design operations, and collaboration with both designers and developers to create a seamless design-to-code workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and govern the organization's design system, including foundations, design patterns, reusable components, documentation, and usage guidelines.
- Manage and optimize design libraries and reusable assets within Figma.
- Define and maintain design tokens including colors, typography, spacing, themes, and other foundational design properties.
- Establish and manage automated design-token pipelines between design and development environments.
- Partner closely with development teams to build and maintain coded component libraries using tools such as Storybook.
- Ensure alignment and traceability between design components and production-ready components.
- Develop and maintain design system governance, contribution models, version control, and release processes.
- Embed accessibility standards, responsive behavior, and quality assurance practices into all design system components.
- Drive consistency, scalability, and adoption of the design system across multiple products and teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate design-to-development workflows.
- Create documentation, standards, and best practices to support long-term design system sustainability.
- Strong experience building and managing Design Systems.
- Expert knowledge of Figma, component libraries, and design operations.
- Experience with Design Tokens and Design System Governance.
- Hands-on experience with Storybook and Design-to-Code workflows.
- Strong understanding of Accessibility Standards and Responsive Design.
- Experience collaborating with Front-End Development teams.
- Knowledge of version control, release management, and component lifecycle management.
- Ability to drive adoption of design systems across large organizations.
