SummaryResponsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions. Provides advanced life support, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures optimal patient outcomes.
Education/QualificationsRequired:
- Qualification Source from:
North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand - USA:
The American Board of Critical Care - Canada:
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRACPC – Critical Care) - UK and Ireland: CCT/CCST/CESR and joined Specialty Register of Critical Care
- Australia and New Zealand:
Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP) in Critical Care - Western Europe:
Equivalent certification to the above in Critical Care or in Anesthesia
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience after receiving Board/Equivalent certification.
- At least 1 year of experience at a Public/Government hospital or Academic Hospital.
- Current and in good standing medical license to practice in the country of residence.
- Provides high quality care to patients in this area of medicine
- Provides consultative service as requested
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians and residents
- Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise
- Participates in research activities
- Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed
- Performs special procedures as privileged
- Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures
