Responsibilities

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will research, develop, implement and monitor a variety of student enrichment activities, programs and events to engage students in a broad campus life experience that will enhance education and provide personal and professional development opportunities in alignment with UDST’s overall objectives.

The successful candidate should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Student Engagement and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Student Life Specialist.

The incumbent will coordinate the logistical arrangements of student enrichment activities and events, including scheduling, marketing, purchasing and focus on accurate record maintenance for all the activities and data production to meet the Student Engagement reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will collect and analyze student feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and to ensure relevance to student life and continuous improvement of activities offered.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain partnerships with student clubs to support consistent membership and an active program.

The successful candidate shall also provide guidance to students in all aspects of student life, including information on accessing UDST services such as careers advice, information on employment opportunities and financial aid.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain up-to-date promotional and informational materials regarding student development activities to improve awareness and increase participation.

The incumbent will support Student Engagement to organize Student Orientation, ensuring students are informed about enrichment activities. The candidate will also support the recruitment of Student Ambassadors and assist with training and development to ensure they are effective ambassadors of UDST.

The successful candidate will investigate and coordinate student conduct case and train/supervise student workers also monitoring student compliance with disciplinary sanctions.

The successful candidate will support the work and initiatives of the Student Council (SC) to encourage leadership development and improve student engagement.
