Librarian

Junior Librarian - Doha, Qatar

We are in search of a highly motivated Junior Librarian to join our growing team at our library in Doha. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of the library's collection, as well as providing assistance to library patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the field of library science. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. Salary is competitive at $1300 per month.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in using library databases and technology
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed

• Assist with circulation duties such as checking books in/out, shelving materials, and processing holds.
• Provide reference services to patrons by helping them locate resources.
• Contribute to collection development by recommending new materials based on patron needs.
• Assist with planning and implementing programs and events for patrons.
• Maintain the organization of the library's physical and digital collections.
• Keep up-to-date records of circulation statistics.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any patron concerns or inquiries.

This is a part-time position suitable for individuals without previous experience. We welcome freshers who are passionate about libraries and willing to learn. Fluency in English is not required but preferred. If you have a love for books and knowledge, we want you on our team!
